Keeping Busy?

Witnessing, Testimony, Out Reach!

There is still plenty for us to be doing in our fellowships, from making the tea, to sharing our faith on the streets, doing door to door witness, out reaching with a food bar and tracts outside our place of worship?

We can be seen or not and still be there doing something, arranging the flowers, putting out the song books, cleaning and even writing out our testimony as a tract to use when speaking to other people!

Decorating the building, sound systems, lighting, painting, electrical work and just being there to help others, to remain active in love and concern for the sickly, disabled and all who are ill in visiting and many other things to?

Psalm 8:4, Matthew 22:16, Acts 20:28, 1 Corinthians 12:25, 1 Timothy 3:5, Hebrews 2:6.

Plenty to Share!

We have much Experience to Give?

Old folks should not be seen as being in the corner of fellowship, but in the front with the young children and those coming to faith to help and encourage them or keep them in line when they get over excited more the little ones I think!

Other wise we still have a long life of experience that we can warn those even a little younger than us what to do and what to avoid?

The Holy Bible tells us much about the older wise men in the gate and that is where younger men sought out that help and wisdom, so we should also be doing the same, woman to as much as men!

2 Samuel 19:8, Ruth 4:1-9, Esther 2:21, Jeremiah 38:7, Luke 2:25-34.

NEW LIFE!

Never give up on Hope?

This Easter may look bleak from many senses, but as believers we must never give up until it is the time for the Lord to take us Home!

New fruit is always coming into our fellowships and with Easter and the despair in many peoples lives today, they will come just to get help and hope for their respective situations, but in the meantime of the message some will stay?

And our purpose will now come into play, wither we meet them at the door, give to them a hymn book or a hot drink, the opportunity to talk is for the taking and our hospitality will be one of many keys that touch the hearts as the Holy Spirit enters in to help them confess to God and come to salvation as once it was for us too!!!!

John 3:14-21, 4:23-24, Romans 5:8-9, 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, Hebrews 4:12-13, 9:26-27, 13:2.

EASTER!

The essential Message?

This year we get only one opportunity in this blog to cover the matter of Easter and the importance to share what God has done for us!

There may be many other aspects of this time, eggs, bunnies, flowers and much for the young and young at heart to enjoy, but without a knowledge of Jesus this is all empty nonsense?

As we grow older in the faith their is a time to reflect and tell others of the importance in knowing Jesus, who will save us from his coming wrath on humanity for the disobedience?

One recently read that some councils in middle-England were seeking to stop street preaching because people found it offensive and hurtful, on Judgement day everything that we have done will be exposed!

Amos 5:4, Romans 8:24, 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, Hebrews 4:12-13, 9:26-27, Jude 1:6-7.

Maintaining Ones Honesty?

Keeping to the narrow Way!

Life is tough for all humans wither they are saved or lost, but as believers in the death and resurrection of Jesus our Lord, we need to maintain an impression on others, not just our fellowship, but also the world that is always watching us and testing us to see if we will fall?

Our conduct is essential as we get older, memory loss can cause us to swear, but that should not always be put on the soul but rather the brain degrading and the onset of many illnesses effecting the mind!

Otherwise we have a responsibility to interact with people every day and maybe night time to so that we can advise and share Jesus and what He has, is and will do for us?

Psalm 25:6-10, Romans 3:21-31, James 3:14.

What you can do at 90!

Survive the lions Den?

Daniel went through a lost from the jealousy of the Persians and survived, but at ninety years old, after seventy years in the Babylonian court he was sent to the lions and of course God saved him because of his faith!

Not many today at sixty survive what the world can throw at us and most who claim a faith will run for the hills when it comes to a stance that might get them hurt?

Not Daniel he was tough, learning from experience that God would deliver him, so how are we going to apply what we have learned in this little study today?

Daniel 6:1-24, Nahum 2:11, Matthew 24:15, Luke 12:4, 1 Peter 3:14.

Happy New Year 2025?

Closer to Eternity!

No matter how old we are when we come to faith we still have much to give to those younger than us and even older too, since we can advise many in the way to go, to live, to help others?

God does not give up on old people, since there are so many mentioned in the Holy Bible, who are seen as being wise and so their advice and views were sought after!

But all who have rejected the wisdom of the elderly came to destruction, proving that they were not wise in the first place and thought they could rule, be a king or other, when they misjudged their circumstances and ability?

Today we find many people have cheated their way into jobs that they cannot do and that is why both economies and systems are in disarray and nations are failing at the basics in business, religion and hope!

2 Samuel 17:4, 1 Kings 1:12, Proverbs 12:15, 19:20, John 3:3, Acts 5:39, Hebrews 9:26-27.

Christmas Past?

What happens as we Age!

Many of us do fall into the false trap of believing the past was better in some ways than it is now, we become nostalgic and forget the bad bits of yesteryear?

Jesus warns us not to look back, since we should be looking ahead for His return and also for Heaven our Eternal home, were there will be no more suffering or tears!

We have a mission for Christmas and Easter and that is if we can welcome the stranger in the hope that more souls will be won for the Kingdom, we can encourage young people and adults about many areas of life and what not to do and son on?

Matthew 25:38-43, Luke 9:62, Hebrews 11:31, Revelation 7:17, 21:4, Isaiah 25:8.

Preparing for Christmas?

Try not to look back, but rather Forward!

When we get old it is natural to tend to look back, but somethings were better then, we still had to out come of sin, arguments and rows apart from the meal and the tinsel?

Some of us were saved and others not, that is why we are told in the word of God not to look back but forward for His return and in dealing with the problems that may still persist or the good things that we can bring or keep going!

Luke 9:62, Acts 13:23, 1 Corinthians 9:10, 1 Timothy 2:13-14.

Good always overcomes Evil!

Halloween, Guy Fawkes and Remembering the Fallen?

Each of these festivals reveal and element of darkness, but that God has the victory over all of them!

Halloween is the expression of Satanic evil, Guy Fawkes on 17th Century Bin-Laden of English history and the 11/11th to mark all who died to overcome in some cases men who wanted their image to be worshiped and their ideas excepted by the masses!

They all failed and we live in a free world, or do we, human idealism wants us to think that but the truth is we live in a world stained by inherited sin and that faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will save us from Eternal Damnation and help us to walk with Him!

Daniel 3:3-6, Matthew 16:18, John 3:3, 16-21, Romans 3:22-23, Hebrews 9:26-17, 10:10, 12, 26, 1 John 5:4-5, Revelation 3:20, 7:17.
