‘That old time Story?

Easter!

Two thousand years old and still going strong with the ‘Good News message of hope and salvation for the worst of us and those who think they are good and okay?

The Holy Bible is the only book that makes it clear time and again that no one is good, but that we are all fallen and suffer from the inherited terminal illness of sin or failure!

No matter how hard we try to be good, we will fail just because without God we can do nothing, maybe think like some world leaders?

But we all need to have a mental attitude change and surrender our lives to God, so that through the work of Jesus going to the cross/tree/stake and rising again we may be saved from Eternal punishment?

Acts 15:11, Romans 3:24, 5:17, 21, 2 Corinthians 1:12, Galatians 5:4, 2 Timothy 1:9, 1 Peter 1:2.

Keeping Active!

Combinations?

We all need to keep active as we get older, some are good at it and others are not?

Timothy was active in physical health, but Paul wanted him to be more active in holiness!

The Holy Spirit is active within us searching out our motives, while we need to keep our faith busy as Abraham did!

We need a balance, but we also need to keep going, since we are invaluable to all who are around us both in the Ekklesia and in the world?

1 Timothy 4:8, Hebrews 4:12, James 2:22.

Nine year old Abraham and Noah!

Two great men of faith.

Abraham was nine years old when Noah is ancestor died, what an experience to meet an ancestor who was part of the pre-Earth and learn from him faith in God?

If we have grandchildren it is our great responsibility to share something of God of Jesus with them, even in a very simple format! We can sow good seeds that will either save them or later they will have a right example to live by?

We live in a evil society now and things are becoming once more like the days of Noah, but the destruction coming is not a flood as climate people keep telling us, but rather fire and a scorched Earth as the Holy Bible tells us!

Genesis 5:29, 6:8-9, 7:11, Isaiah 54:9, Matthew 24:37, Luke 17:27, Hebrews 11:7, 2 Peter 2:5.

St. Valentines?

‘Keep on Loving and Forgiving!

Romance is a beautiful experience that may lead to love and marriage and at that a long relationship and friendship that is built on God, but also on loving and forgiving each other?

We must understand that we are all sinners and we will fall down when under stress, problems pop up, or disasters strike? The selfishness in our hearts will come to the fore and it is hard at times to forgive, since we thought we knew each other so well?

God’s ways are that woman was made from man for man and to be a comfort, not only to make children! Many couples do not have children because of male infertility and yet they are active in our fellowships having more spiritual children than would be possible by any natural processes in numbers!

Genesis 2:22, Songs of Solomon 8:7, Matthew 5:27, Mark 7:22, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Hebrews 13:4.

Holocaust Testimony?

Systematic Murder!

There can be no parallel or New Revisionism of the selective murder committed in the Nazi-German Ha’ Shoah of over six million Jewish people who shared a culture and religion? Since then there have been many Genocides based on tribal differences and political socialist doctrines, apart from Sectarian hatred, but none compare to the system of murder on a mass scale!

Testimony is very important, I think the older one gets nearer to Eternity we need to be telling younger believers, who may be as old as us in the Spirit our experiences of life and that of the Christian walk and some pitfalls that can be avoided?

Survivors of these outrages atrocities must continue to leave their legacy to their children, while we share our testimonies of what God has, is and will do for us!

Deuteronomy 4:25, Psalm 25:10, 119:24, Matthew 10:18, 24:14, 2 Corinthians 1:12, 2 Thessalonians 1:10, Titus 1:13, Revelation 1:2, 9, 12:11, 19:10.

Christmas Story! Two.

Simeon and Anna allowed by God to see the Messiah!

Old folks who served and liven in the Temple area of Jerusalem all their lives by faith, were allowed to see the baby Jesus. We can read the details of who they were and their words to Mary and Joseph in relation to the Salvation of Israel!

God does not measure human age as we do and today many believers are so focused on young people that they are loosing out on the salvation of the old?

This should be taken into consideration now in light of this Pandemic that is killing older people who may have been allowed to stay alive to hear the ‘Good news message of Jesus one last time?

Luke 2:25-38.

#ahappiernewyear2021?

Despite the Coronaviruses We still have much to Give!

Lockdown and isolation may be a good time to read the Bible and learn more about our faith and all the goodness of God?

The internet, media, even snail mail can still be accessed to bless younger believers, a word of encouragement and nice book, card, gift voucher, or a book mark can go a long way?

Interaction media is fantastic to talk, to share to answer questions and re-assure all who are worried, even us old oldies! We must never forget that our Jesus is limitless in what He wants to inspire us to do, an e-mail might save another from suicide, a phone call the same!

1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:14, Romans 12:14, Hebrews 10:10, 1 John 4:9-11.

Christmas Story. One.

Zechariah and Elizabeth.

God chose the elderly couple to conceive the last and greatest Prophet John the Baptizer, so that His will would be accomplished!

John would Baptize Jesus in the Jordan river thirty years later and prepare the way for the Messiah.

The Virgin Mary visited her cousin and both babies in their respective mothers leaped for Joy!

God is not limited as the world and sadly many worldly mined Christians might believe, He has a purpose for all believers and will do the impossible through us if, we would let Him?

Luke 1:4-80, Malachi 3:1, Matthew 11:11-12, Mark 1:9, 8:28.

The Christmas Story. One.

Zechariah and Elizabeth.

Here we have an old couple that will conceive John the Baptizer, the greatest of all the Prophets and the fore runner for the coming Messiah Jesus!

We hear of Mary the Virgin visiting Elizabeth and both babies jumping for joy, later John would baptize Jesus, who in human flesh was a relative.

This is an amazing account of How God was working out his plan for the salvation of His people Israel and for the world.

The Holy Bible is a book that has plenty more old folks, doing and fulfilling God’s purposes!

Luke 1:5-24, 36-37, 39-41, 57-66, 67-80.
